Pharmaceutical Education Consultants, Inc (AHR Events / PharmCon or "We") Privacy Policy is designed to assist you in understanding the types of personal information we collect, how we may use that information, how we help safeguard that information, when and with whom we may share that information, and when we may update our Privacy Policy. The AHR Events / PharmCon Privacy Policy applies to data collected through the AHR Events / PharmCon Web site.
CONSENT
Please read our Privacy Policy carefully. Each time you visit the AHR Events / PharmCon Web site, you are consenting to the collection, use, disclosure and processing of Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Please note that if you are visiting this Web site from outside the United States and submitting personal information to us, you are consenting to the transfer of your personal information to servers and computers located in the United States, a country that may not provide data protection and privacy laws that are as strong as those of your own country. TYPES OF INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE IT
When you visit the AHR Events / PharmCon Web site, you may provide us with two types of information: personal information that you knowingly disclose on an individual basis and information about your use of our Web site which is collected as you and other visitors use our Web site.
Collection of Personal Information that You Provide
As part of the AHR Events / PharmCon Web site registration process, we will ask you to provide your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. We will also ask you to provide demographic information, such as your ZIP code.
You will be asked to select a user name and password. When you log on to the Web site with your user name and password you will be able to access special features of the Web site such as continuing education programs and your account information.
We will use your e-mail address to send you information on new programs, special offers and continuing education news. If you do not wish to receive this information, you may opt-out of receiving these messages by changing your preferences on the My Profile page of the Web site or by following the unsubscribe link in any promotional e-mail. Please note that we may need to send you service related e-mails and you may not opt out of receiving them.
If you contact customer service, the representative may ask you for your personal information (name, address, e-mail address and/or telephone number) so that he/she may verify your identity and assist you.
If you would like to receive continuing education credit for programs completed, you will be asked to provide information about the type of continuing education credit you require, your state and/or license/identification number(s). We may use this information to complete paper and electronic reports when required by continuing education regulators or accreditation entities. We may also use your personal information, such as your name, address and identification number to complete your continuing education certificate(s) of attendance and to otherwise keep track of your continuing education information.
If you take a continuing education program, we will ask you to complete a program evaluation form, which will include your comments on the program and a certification that you have listened to a particular program. We will also ask you to provide voluntary information about your employer, interests, and preferences for future programs. We will use this information to provide improved program offerings, and to improve our Web site and customer service.
If you decide to register for a program or purchase a paid membership, we will ask you to provide your credit card number and billing address so that we may obtain payment for your purchase.
For third party licensors who provide content, we will post a copy of the biographical information you provide to us on the Web site.
Collection of Web site Use Information
Cookies: As is standard practice on many corporate websites, the AHR Events / PharmCon Web site uses "cookies" which are small text files that that are sent to the hard drive of your computer to store bits of information about your use of the Web site. We use cookies to remember specific information about users in order to enhance your experience on our Web site and to otherwise improve our Web site, customer service and product offerings. For example, we may use cookies for improving the "sign in" experience, session tracking, maintaining user authentication, or keeping track of user preferences. You may accept or decline cookies. HOW WE HELP PROTECT PERSONAL INFORMATION
AHR Events / PharmCon uses security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information under our control from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. For example, when we transmit your credit card information, that data is protected using the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. Unfortunately no method of transmissions over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure or error-free. Therefore, AHR Events / PharmCon cannot guarantee the absolute security of all information transmitted to us or provided by our on-line services.
However, you can help. Please remember that it is your responsibility to keep your password information confidential. Do not share your password or account with anyone. You should always log off when you are finished using the AHR Events / PharmCon Web site. Please notify us immediately us if you learn or believe there has been or may have been any unauthorized use of your password or account or any other breach of security relating to either your account or this Web site.
WHEN AND WITH WHOM WE MAY SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We reserve the right to disclose your personal information when we believe the disclosure is necessary to (a) comply with law, a judicial proceeding, court order, legal process, request from law enforcement authorities or other governmental officials, (b) to enforce or apply our Terms and Conditions of Use or Privacy Policy, (c) to your employer if your registration is through a corporate/firm account and your employer (or former employer) requests it; (d) to the purchaser in connection with any sale, assignment, or other transfer of all of a part of our business or company; or (e) to protect the rights, property, security or safety of AHR Events / PharmCon, our users, Third Party Licensors, or others. If you register for a continuing education program, we may share your information and continuing education credit and/or program information with continuing education regulators or accreditation entities who track online continuing education usage.
We reserve the right to use, disclose or process any information collected that does not include personally identifiable information. For example, in order for us to provide improved program offerings, and to improve our Web site and customer service, we may share aggregate information about Web site usage with proposed or current third party licensors.
We will share the aggregate results of program evaluations with third party licensors who present a continuing education program, and when required, with continuing education regulators or accreditation entities. This information will only be distributed in the aggregate form.
We do not sell, rent or lease your information to third parties, advertisers, direct mail companies or e-mail list services. However, by opting in to "specials" you may receive e-mail advertisements from our subsidiary RX Media Alerts and in some cases we may provide attendance lists to third party licensors who provide content for the programs.
When you purchase a program or paid membership, we will disclose your contact and credit card information to third parties who provide credit card processing services on our Web site. These third parties are prohibited from using your information for any other purpose.
In the event of any disclosure of information as described above, the recipient of the Personal Information may be located in the United States or another jurisdiction that may not provide an equivalent level of data protection to the laws in your home jurisdiction. AHR Events / PharmCon will not have control over the third party’s use and disclosure of your personal information.
HOW YOU CAN ACCESS AND UPDATE YOUR INFORMATION
In order to access and update your information, you are required to sign on to the Web site using your user name and password. You will find your information on the My Profile page of the Web site.

The AHR Events / PharmCon Web site may contain links to sites maintained by third parties. These sites are not under our control. We are not responsible for the privacy and security practices of these sites. Nor are we responsible for the content of these sites or any products or services that may be offered through these sites. We suggest that you review the privacy policy posted on each site you visit.
UPDATES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY
We may revise our Privacy Policy without prior notice to you. However, if we revise our Privacy Policy we will change the "Effective" date at the top of the Policy. If there are material changes, we will either prominently post a notice of such change on this web page or we will send you an e-mail notification.
